Black exterior with original grey cloth interior. This Beloit car was owned by the same individual(Tom O'Brien) for the 46 years and purchased in 2014. This classic was completely restored in 1997 after it ran in the 4300 mile "The Great American Race" from Tacoma, WA to Toronto, CN. It took 2nd place in the Packard National meet in Traverse City, MI in 2016. The owner of a Packard of this era was considered to have a pedigree in autos.
It may have been shown too recently in your show to warrant entry this year, but I wanted to make it available in case you need it. Description: It is unusual to find a restored 2dr hardtop of this make and model that has not been done as a bright red "Christine Clone" in honor of the 1983 Stephen King movie (or perhaps restored to spite the movie for its destruction of so many classic cars). This particular example came from Swaines junkyard in BelAire Michigan. It was a $700 dollar purchase. It was very straight and complete but so rusty that it took 5 years of weekends and spare time to restore. It still has it's original engine with a replacement push button Transmission donated by a '58 Dodge. The interior was done in the original Belvidere pattern but uses '57 Chevy cloud pattern fabric. Just don't call her an old rust bucket, she's very sensitive!
