I am 19 years old and I purchased this car from an estate sale when I was 14. I have spent the last five years restoring it with my father in his garage. I have come to classics and chrome with my dad and brother since I was little and I always thought it would be cool to bring a car to the show. I just got the car finished this year and if it is accepted for your car show, it will be the first ever car show it would be seen in.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW IN 1966. IT RECENTLY UNDERWENT A NUT AND BOLT FRAME OFF RESTORATION. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 100 MI SINCE COMPLETION. ORIGINAL SS 396 4-SPEED ALL ORIGINAL #'S MATCHING DRIVETRAIN. CAR HAS SUTTLE UPGRADES SUCH AS VINTAGE AIR, 4-WHEEL DISC BRAKES AND LARGER ORIGINAL APPEARING STEEL WHEELS. ALL UPGRADES WERE DONE WHILE KEEPING ORIGINAL APPEARANCE IN MIND.
Purchased from the original owner in Rockford Illinois, who purchased the car new at Frontier Ford, also in Rockford. The restoration was filmed for Velocity Network's Fantom Works, and will be unveiled at Classics and Chrome.. This car is making its first public appearance in 25 years!
